In vitro germination and growth of maize and lettuce seeds exposed to iron oxide magnetic nanoparticles

چکیده
Iron is a micronutrient essential for optimal plant development, nevertheless, due to their low solubility it poorly available plants, affecting many agronomically important crops. Nanofertilizers are nanoparticles that have been used as an alternative the release of micro and macronutrients necessary nutrition. Therefore, in this research we evaluated effect application aqueous suspensions iron oxide (magnetite-maghemite) stabilized with chitosan on germination growth Maize (Zea mays L.) Lettuce (Lactuca sativa plants at vitro level. Preliminary results suggest nanoparticle contents below 50 ppm there no evidence negative effects seed process maize seedlings. Similarly, was determined phytotoxic seeds.
